Swellnest is a different kind of surfing experience. Unlike surf camps and resorts with limited options beyond the waves, Swellnest guests enjoy on shore options that rival the world class breaks in its back yard.

With only eight rooms and a maximum of sixteen guests, you’ll be esconced in comfort and enjoy the company and camaraderie of guests sharing a similar love of the ocean, wellness, and culture.

First and foremost, it’s all about the surf. Our retreats are designed to help beginners build confidence and progress fast — with expert coaching and personalized support.
If you’ve never stepped foot in the ocean or you’re well on your way to intermediate, our certified instructors will provide the coaching you need and tools to take home with you to continue your surfing journey.

Surfing and wellness go hand in hand. One can certainly be well without surfing, but it is hard to surf without being well. We understand this at Swellnest so we have incorporated wellness as one of our core principles. It’s literally in our name.

Founders Message
It’s hard for a non-surfer to understand a surfer’s connection to waves. For just a few seconds of glory and sometimes not even that; surfers will travel far, endure harsh conditions, and even put themselves in dangerous situations. While everyday surfers like me can relate to - and even envy - these brave souls, my surfing journey is not quite so dramatic.
I’ve surfed my whole life but prioritized career, marriage, and family. Surfing a week here and there for most of my adult life limited my progression. As the years passed I dreamt of one day owning a home near a consistent surf break and sharing my passion with non-surfing family and friends. I’ve learned, however, that if you’re not a surfer you’re less willing to spend large periods of time in a remote place with few options beyond surfing.
